Milwaukee Makers Market - “Celebrate Fall” - Discovery World Pavilion

Milwaukee Makers Market is so much more than a makers and artisan fair. It’s a celebration of the city's creators and our local community. Creator Ryan Laessig curates each market to create a perfect opportunity for small business owners to sell their wares and make connections with fans and other makers. What started in 2015 as a small outdoor event in the Colectivo Bay View parking lot has grown into the largest, longest-running monthly markets where makers and guests fill venues like Discovery World Museum, The Ivy House, and local venues. Loyal fans know that MMM creates a safe, fun and unique market experience. With no at-the-door admission fee, anyone and everyone is welcome to shop or browse.

Make Art MKE - Mount Mary University Grounds

Make Art MKE is an outdoor event on the  Mount Mary campus  sponsored by re:Craft and Relic and Lit MKE.

The Mount Mary Starving Artists' Show was a staple in the Milwaukee art community for over 50 years and like many others, Mike Bate, the owner of local business Lit MKE, didn't want to see it go.

Seeing an opportunity to step in and revive this long lasting art fair, Mike's vision for Make Art MKE is all about honoring the history of the Mount Mary event, while pulling in local makers of handmade goods, and a focus on supporting the surrounding neighborhood.  A portion of proceeds from the 2023 art fair will go to revitalizing Cooper Park.

re:Craft and Relic is passionate about connecting small businesses to the community around them and is excited to help breathe new life to this art fair.

As a new event with new, outside organizers, we want to carry on the spirit of the Starving Artists Show and fill the Mount Mary grounds once again with artists, makers and creatives, supporting one generation while inspiring the next.

I Heart Indie Markets - Walkers Point Makers Market & Bar Hop - Great Lakes Distillery

Indie markets take the basic craft show concept and make it into something more! Event coordinators of indie markets tend to lean toward more attractive, enticing locations, especially locations that are popular amongst the community or places where the community can be more involved. Many are starting to include craft corners or a DIY aspect to the event so the event isn't solely shopping handmade items. Some indie markets are starting to bring in other indie groups such as food carts or local musicians. Indie markets tend to take your typical craft show a step further and make it into more of an experience.

Art Gallery Meet & Greet

Delta is proud to present David Ryan Wheaton of Huckster Art for our August Art Gallery! Join us on July 28 from 6-8 for this months artist meet and greet. David will have a table of art that isn't available in the gallery, there will be live music on the patio, and JD's food cart will be serving up your dinner options.

We will choose different artists from the community to highlight and showcase in our new gallery space. Join us for the Artist Meet and Greet Presentation event and peruse the gallery all month!

David is a Madison based artist dedicated to creating bright and bold acrylic spray paintings that shed light on behavioral health and the journey of recovery. Drawing from his personal experiences living with bipolar disorder and overcoming alcoholism, his art serves as a catalyst for connection and inspiration. His educational background at UW Madison, where he studied art and interior design with an emphasis on color theory, has profoundly influenced his vibrant artistic style.

David's artwork, showcased in local galleries and art shows throughout the Midwest, delves into themes of behavioral health, substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and the complex path to healing. By embracing vulnerability in his creations and personal stories, he hopes to foster relatable experiences and connections with others.
